"Significant social life experiences don't often repeat.  And of those which do repeat, not many are lived from opposite perspectives.  This poem is a reflection on such a situation.  It is an exploration of the consequences of betrayal, in this case lived from the receiving end.  It is one of two poems written together.  The other poem is titled A Sun and A Flame."
